Dear Santa, from Blanco ~

blanco

We haven’t met .. I don’t think I’m quite one year old yet, but I’m REALLY, REALLY excited to see you! My name’s Blanco. I’m pretty small, not so I’d fit in a cup or anything, but small… that is, except for my ears – they’re HUGE, ginormous, very large, and they stick out sideways, not up like some dogs. I think they’re my best feature. Well, that and my silky soft fur. I was rescued a couple months ago from a yucky place where I was sharing a cage with lots of dogs. It was scary and cold but I was super lucky and the nice humans took me and, well, here I am!! All ears and short legs!

I’m crossing my paws and sending all kinds of satellite messages out with my ears to find my forever family – I know they’re out there somewhere and I’m being very patient… but it’s sooooo hard!! Oh, yes, and I’m eating all my meals like a good boy and listening when I hear my name. I’m getting along with my doggie foster brothers and sister, and my foster cats!

Anyhoo, I’ve been watching my manners and I’m not asking for a Porsche or anything, even my short legs wouldn’t reach those pedals… just something safe and fun to play with. If there’s room in your bag:

Dear Santa, from Briggs ~

Dear Santa, it's BriggsIt’s beefcake Briggs and I’ve been a such a good boy this year. I’ve done so many fun things and made so many new friends! I’m like a magnet with my big smiling face =) and cherubic good looks, and my tail wags my whole body when I meet someone new BOL. There’s always more furiends to play with the next day too. These are some of my favorite things!

Dear Santa, from Chewbacca aka Chewie ~

chewieHi ho! Chewbacca here, and I’ve been a good boy this year too! I moved to a new foster home and have learned so many new tricks! I show off my best behavior to everyone. I love going for walks in the park by my foster home, our picnics at the beach where I can play in the ocean (I love water!!), and going to adoption events to meet so many nice people. I can’t wait to meet my forever family soon and play my favorite game of Fetch! My favorite things are:

Dear Santa, from Forever Foster dog Cora ~

Cora Santa LetterIt’s me, Cora! I’ve really been a good girl this year. I know everyone says I’m a little brat, and they’re right-ish. But I’ve been working really, really hard. I haven’t had a terrier tantrum in months! Turns out I’m just a sweet lil nugget who needed a good canine buddy to show me how to be, and some good human leadership too. I’ve worked really hard and it shows. I’m hoping you’ll agree. I’ve got a really bad problem with my heart called Tetralogy of Fallot. You’d never know it if you met me but if you held me in your arms for just a second, you’d be able to feel that my heart just isn’t right and they can’t fix it. In case this is my only Christmas, I’m planning to enjoy it to the fullest. I’m a simple girl (just kidding) and I don’t ask for much (actually true), but it would really make my holiday the best if I got some of my favorite things to enjoy.

My faves:

Dear Santa, from Ellouise ~

Ellouise

I’ve been a good girl. Promise! I recently moved to San Diego after my family had to surrender me when they lost their home in the big floods in my home state of Louisiana. That was a major bummer. I’ve had a bit of a rough time since the move because I’ve have medical needs, but I’m doing well now and adapting to this new life. At first I was too shy, but now I’m starting to LOVE TOYS! They are so fun, aren’t they!? Especially ones that you can shake around. Toys and the rest of the items below would make my little heart so happy! Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Dear Santa, from Fern ~

Fern Santa LetterHello, it’s Fernie and I’ve been a really lovely lady this year. I’ve mostly been working on trying to get healthy and have been a trooper through all the vet visits and tests. My favorite times of the day are mealtime, walk time and treat time. I also love when my people come home! Thank you Santa for bringing me some of my favorite things – I’ll be waiting by the chimney.

My favorites are:

  • Treats: Blue Buffalo Duck Dog Biscuits, Zuke’s Chicken Treats, WellBites, Pill Pockets because I have to take lots of pills and am not a fan
  • I could use more Dasuquin joint supplement too! (for dogs under 60 lbs because I’m petite and ladylike)
  • Fish oil – I take about 2000mg of active Omega-3 per day!
  • I don’t have much body fat and with winter coming, I’d love a new soft blankie for my crate. My foster mom tried to put a sweater on me – but when she puts clothes on me, I walk backwards like some cats do – makes her laugh but not very effective BOL!

Dear Santa, from Fidget ~

fidgetHiya! It’s me, Fidget! Remember me? I’m WDR’s supah cute tripawd who’s been waiting forever for my forever home! I’m also known as the cutest little “Piglet” because I snore and grunt a lot when I play with my toys, but I just like to think of myself as a handsome, good boy. (My foster mom calls me a Piglet, you think you can put coal in her stocking for that?)

I’ve been stellar this year! Everybody tells me so. When my foster parents take me on walks, everyone always wants to pet me and say how well behaved, handsome and awesome I am! Some people say “awe, poor little guy” but I don’t know why? I’m the happiest pup in the world! I know how to sit, stay, wait, and I don’t cross thresholds unless my foster mom or dad says “Ok, come!” I love working for treats! I even learned how to put myself to bed in my crate without my foster parents telling me to go to bed. Impressive, right?

Since I’ve been such a good boy, I would like the elves to make me a few toys if that’s ok? My favorites are:

  • Whole Elk Antlers in Extra Large cuz I have a big mouf (these are my absolute favorite!!)

Thanks, Santa! Although I love the things listed above, all I really want for Christmas is a forever family where I can grow old, play with my humans and well-matched friends (sans cats). I really do adore my big and little humans most of all!

Dear Santa, from Basil + Gio ~

Gio and Basil Dear SantaCiao! It’s Basil and Gio, the biggie iggies! We’re Italian Greyhound brothers who like to do everything together. We’ve had a busy year, first escaping the scary shelter and then working hard to recover our good health with the aid of two spectacular foster families. We’ve gone from being anxious and uneasy to feeling relaxed and happy again. Throughout it all, we’ve had each other.

We have some basic things we wish for Christmas:

  • Two Dog Dentons Convertible Hoodie Pajama Jumpers to keep us warm during nighttime and early morning walks. IGs and sighthounds don’t have much body fat and we get cold easily! The lady who custom makes the Dentons has rescued iggies from puppy mills. She’s really cool and LOVES iggies! She just needs our measurements and our foster dad can do that for us! Yay!
  • Fruitables Crunchy Dog Treats of all different flavors. Gio is a vegetarian due to his health so we only have vegetarian treats 🙂
  • Small Split Elk Antlers to help keep our grills clean
  • As many poops bags as we can stock up on…

Dear Santa, from Grampa ~

Grampa Santa LetterGreetings from Gramps! Yessirree, I’ve been a good ol’ fella! I was so good, in fact, that the nice ladies at the Bonita Shelter and Wagging Dog Rescue gave me a chance to live the rest of my days with a family. Now when I’m not busy snoring, I’m watching my people and my little fur foster sisters.

To keep me healthy and smelling fresh, I could use these goodies:

Dear Santa, from Kanoa ~

Kanoa I’ve been a good boy. I moved to a new foster home last month so make sure your reindeer have my new address. I’m behaving very well even though I’m still a puppy and love to play. I’ve made lots of new friends and have made sure to be a good boy because I don’t want any coal.

My favorite things are:

Dear Santa, from Nova aka SuperNova ~

SuperNova Santa LetterHallooooo!! It’s me Nova and I’ve been an UH-mazing boy this year. Earlier this spring, my rescuers thought I might not make it after battling parvo, distemper, ehrlichia and a whole bunch of worms, but they didn’t know they had a SuperNova on their hands! Now that I’m a growing healthy boy, I was hoping for the a few gifts to make my first Christmas a memorable one!

My favorite things are:

Dear Santa, from Sherman ~

shermanSmooches from the Sherminator! As you probably already know, I’m always a really good boy. I’ve had such a fun and special year playing with all of my new friends and getting to stay in a wonderful foster home instead of the boarding kennel. I get to help walk and help train the new dogs at my foster home. It’s so much fun! I love these things, Santa. Thank you!
